Time to finish My First Doctor Recap and talk about how Tenth Planet joins Twice Upon A Time.
In Season 3, the Doctor had a load of things go on, Vicki left for love and the Doctor asked Katrina to look after Steven. She and Jean Marsh’s character Sara Kingdom were the first companions to die in the longest ever serial The Daleks Master Plan. Steven Taylor walked out on him after the Doctor couldn’t safe his new friends from their fates which is a fixed point in time! However he came back followed by Dodo who joined by accident. He cared about his new friends and still called them my dear. In the Savages, the Dictor started to lose strength and Steven left to help the Savages and Elders and the Doctor was proud for him and told him that he should go. Dodo left next and the Doctor was disappointed however he was joined by Cocknry Sailor Ben Jackson and his friend Polly Wright who joked at the end of Series 3.
Series 4 picked up from Ben and Polly’s entrance and despite their disagreements at the start, they began to get along. First Doctor only lasted two eps in Season 4 but now it’s time to chat about the Tenth Planet.
TARDIS Wiki Sypnosis
Many years ago, Earth’s twin planet, Mondas, drifted away to the edge of space. Its inhabitants grew weak, so their scientists created spare parts for their bodies. Limbs and organs were slowly replaced by metal and plastic. Emotions were removed. The Cybermen were born.
The Doctor’s TARDIS lands at the Snowcap space tracking station in Antarctica in December 1986. A routine space mission starts going wrong. When the base personnel’s suspicions are roused, the Doctor informs them that the space capsule is being affected by the gravitational pull of another planet — a tenth planet in the Solar system.
The loss of a routine space mission and the appearance of that planet in the sky herald the arrival of the Cybermen, who are intent on the destruction of the Earth and the conversion of all humans into Cybermen. Ben and Polly fight to save the world, but it is a battle that may be the Doctor’s very last.
Obviously it saw Peter Capaldi favourite monster as you saw in his last finale! Also, Part 4 with the regeneration is missing but there is a animated version and you can get it on DVD! But where does Twice Upon a Time fit in, well First Doctor isn’t in Part 3 as William Hartnell was ill during filming so this could be where it fits also, the preview at Comic Con had an extract which is from Part 2.
