Leigh Talks – The Woman Who Fell To Earth Spoiler Free Preview

I haven’t seen the opener on any of the episodes as this is just a fan account so this is from official stuff and spoiler free reviews and TV Magazines

I am excited for Series 11 and Jodie Whittaker and I just have a feeling that this could be the best opener since Deep Breath where unlike the media sillies, I enjoy that episode and Peter Capaldi is a star. Same for Matt Smith, David Tennant and Christopher  Eccleston, they start strongly as well and that is a very good star and I am sure Jodie will do the same.

I will now give you a reminder of the sypnosis so you know what it’s about…

“We don’t get aliens in Sheffield. In a South Yorkshire city, Ryan Sinclair, Yasmin Khan and Graham O’Brien are about to have their lives changed forever, as a mysterious woman, unable to remember her own name, falls from the night sky. Can they believe a word she says? And can she help solve the strange events taking place across the city?”

I am excited for our new companions played by Tosin Cole, Mandip Gill and Bradley Walsh as we attempt to bring back a travelling group which really is a risk but as long as it’s like the first ever team which is one of my favourites, I will be happy.

I am looking forward to seeing Sharon D Clarke who plays Grace, Graham’s wife and also Ryan’s Grandma and has a big role in this episode. She will slay it with no problems and I think she could be one of the best recurring characters we have had in a while.

I feel very intrigued by the plot as it feels action packed and with no title sequence until next week makes it risky but I am hoping that the opening scene makes it stand out in its place.

I am going to give a special mention to a non spoilery quote from a article on the Big Issue website “We see [kindness in the Doctor] in a late scene with Ryan, the Doctor offering the kind of post-incident after-care she has not always delivered in the past.” I am interested to see how the Doctor helps Ryan and this is also relating to Peter Capaldi’s final speech in Twice Upon A Time where he tells his future incarnation to Be Kind and this looks like Jodie will take his advice and once I have seen the episode, I will able to identify what they mean by this quote as its looking good for Jodie.
