The Eleventh Hour Review

Matt Smith was the youngest Doctor ever when he was cast in 2009 and he brought Doctor awho back to a great start and began my decade of Doctor Who.

The episode  is a post regeneration style story where the newest incarnation of Doctor nearly falls out of the TARDIS and then crashes the TARDIS into a 7 year olds garden and discovers a crack and then there are two time periods due to the faulty TARDIS and the second one is the battle ground majority of the episode where the Doctor discovers the girl has grown up and she has a boyfriend who recently has been fired and after mishaps and near deaths, the Doctor saves the days and gets a new outfit and misfires the TARDIS missing the right time period  again but after a few minutes, gets himself a new friend.

I think that Matt Smith and Karen Gillan start their era to a bang and especially throughout the story  I love their chemistry so much and especially in. Later episodes. Arthur Darvill is quite funny her and we don’t much get character development here until later on in series and I am glad they did that because I would rather focus on he two leads first before bringing in Rory to them group which worked so well and you see more Rory and who he is in Vampires In Venice. A very special mention to Caitlin Blackwood who is actually Karen’s cousin in real life as she plays young Amy so well and that won’t be the last we see of Caitlin as fans know.

Atraxi and Prisoner Zero as worked well as villains and when the Doctor saves Amy from Prisoner Zero taking in her past by remember what she saw in the room earlier in the episode Amanda that is cool. Atraxi are funny but I love their defeat more as Matt Smith nails his lines and gets ready as well so and when he says “Hello! I am the Doctor! Basically, Run!” Iconic and amazing and that’s the bit where you realise they are the Doctor.

The TARDIS reveal was amazing and beautiful as we see it through Amy’s eyes but the music is amazing, Murray Gold really ups it up from the one in Rose which is really great.

I love those episode and it started of my era of the show and its my favourite TARDIS team.

Score: 10/10
