Best Moments from Female Lead – International Women’s Day 2020

IT’s INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY! All of the females regulars in the revival have had a iconic moment and I will pick one for each of the 8 women who are regulars.

Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) – Being a leader in a crisis (The Satan pit)

Rose has some iconic movements but her best moment is when she is lt with the surviving crew of Sanctuary Base Six onboard a space station infested with killer Ood as the Doctor and Ida Scott are stuck on the planet’s surface. Rose immediately takes. charge when the Ood attempt to break into the room by convincing Zack and Jefferson to get the power on and helps every single crew member with a plan of the action. Definitely girl power.

Why I love Rose Tyler

Martha Jones (Freema Agyeman) – Unites the world to save the Doctor (Last of the Time Lords)

Martha revealing what she did to save the world at the risk of being killed by the Master but this is a passionate performance from Freema and the way it’s delivered, makes it a great performance. I love it.

Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) –  Parallel Donna’s Journey to Fix Time (Turn Left)

I love this scene. Catherine gives a passionate performance which is one my highlights of Turn Left. I think it also helps fit Rose Tyler back into series after 3 comes and a main role. It works and Donna makes it a great scene.

Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) – Successfully saving Rory (Curse of the Black Spot)

I have said it’s a team effort but the motivation from Amy to save her husband lifts the suspense to make this scene work is and she does it successfully shows Amy preservers to help her husband even though I think Amy needy for Rory, it’s more better performed here which makes this scene.

Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) – Clara saves Rigsy (Flatline)

Love Clara being the Doctor in this episode but the way she convinces Rigsy not to give his life to save the others is ver important as this translates in Face The Raven when Clara actually dies. If it wasn’t for her interference, Rigsy would have created the door that brought the Doctor back.

Why I love Clara Oswald – Birthday tribute to Jenna Coleman

Bill Potts (Pearl Mackie) – Setting the serpent free (Thin Ice)

In a positive reverse syndrome of Kill The Moon, Bill sets the serpent free which ends in the death of Lord Sutcliffe and ends up allowing the Street kids to take over his estate. Bill’s decision ends up in her being credited by the Doctor himself which we see her feel happy at what she has just heard to be recognised for her actions.

Why I Love Bill Potts – Pearl Mackie Birthday Special

Thirteenth Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) – Doctor vs Recon Dalek

This one was a instant pick. The comedy, the music, Jodie’s acting makes me love this scene so much. This scene means a lot as its the first time she faces a monster other Doctor’s have faced and I just love her determination.

Yasmin Khan (Mandip Gill) – Investigating with Gabriela (Praxeus

This is at a time we see Yaz become a different person and Gabriela decides to join her and I love the girl power with Yaz being Doctor like and Gabriela questioning her. It’s such a great scene.

That’s my favourite moments from these amazing female regulars. What’s your favourite moment. Please comment down below.
